I believe that two people who are in love and have a healthy, respectful relationship can be a strong couple without the presence of children. In fact they could have a good life - they could travel together, raise pets and be active in their communities. There is an upside to everything, just like there is a downside... I don't think there's anything wrong with couples deciding not to have kids.

`I totally agree with you. But a kidless couple should have a passion in common. Does not matter what - for instance: traveling, gardening, pets, music, etc.
Society pressure adults on having children after getting married - "raising a family" . Creating a family does not necessarily means having human kids.
Also, a research was done, and comparatively speaking - 60% of adults taking anti-depressant have kids. More than adults without. hah!!!

`I had a roommate in college tell me that I shouldn't even get married if I didn't want kids.

i've seen lots of reports that say children are 1 of the top stressors in a marriage, especially in the earlier years. being married WITHOUT kids is the only way 2 go for me.
